Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information PrayAlly collects, how we use it, and how we protect your privacy while you use our platform.

Effective July 6, 2026

Section 01

About PrayAlly

PrayAlly is an anonymous prayer support platform that connects people seeking prayer ("Seekers") with approved Christian prayer partners ("PrayAllies") for live voice prayer sessions.

Prayer sessions are:

  • Anonymous
  • Browser-based
  • Live
  • Not recorded

PrayAlly is a spiritual support platform and is not a counseling, therapy, medical, crisis intervention, or emergency service.

Section 02

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use PrayAlly.

Information from Seekers

Seekers do not need to create an account. A Seeker may provide:

  • First name (required, so your PrayAlly can pray for you by name)
  • Optional prayer request or prayer note
  • Feedback after a prayer session

We only ask for a first name — never a last name, phone number, or address. Your first name is shared with your PrayAlly for that prayer session only.

Information from PrayAllies

To become a PrayAlly, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Password
  • Christian denomination
  • Availability
  • Why you want to serve

This information is used solely to process your application, manage your account, and operate the platform.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use PrayAlly, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited
  • Date and time of visits
  • Referring website
  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • Cookies and similar technologies

This information helps us maintain security, improve performance, and understand how the Service is used.

Session Metadata

To operate the platform, we may collect limited information about prayer sessions, including:

  • Session start and end times
  • Session duration
  • Matching information
  • Technical connection logs
  • Feedback submitted after the session

We do not record or store the audio from prayer sessions.

Section 03

How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate PrayAlly
  • Match Seekers with the next available approved Christian PrayAlly
  • Review and manage PrayAlly applications
  • Improve the Service
  • Maintain safety and platform integrity
  • Respond to support requests
  • Send account-related emails
  • Process optional donations
  • Detect fraud, abuse, or misuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

Section 04

Anonymous Prayer Sessions

Protecting user privacy is central to PrayAlly.

During a prayer session:

  • Seekers never see a PrayAlly's personal information.
  • PrayAllies only see a Seeker's first name — no other personal information.
  • No phone numbers are shared.
  • No email addresses are shared.
  • No last names are displayed during matching or prayer sessions.

Only the information necessary to facilitate the prayer session—such as an optional prayer note—is shared between participants.

Section 05

Audio Privacy

PrayAlly provides live voice prayer sessions using browser-based voice technology.

We do not:

  • Record prayer sessions
  • Store voice conversations
  • Generate transcripts of conversations

Prayer conversations occur live and are not retained by PrayAlly.
