What Happens in a 5-Minute Prayer Call? Inside a PrayAlly Session
A minute-by-minute walk-through of what to expect the first time you tap the button.

The single biggest thing that stops people from trying on-demand prayer is not knowing what they're walking into. So here's a plain, honest description of what a PrayAlly session actually looks like, minute by minute.
Before the call: 30 seconds
You land on PrayAlly, tap "Request prayer now," and see a short form. You can leave your name blank. You pick one or two tags (anxiety, grief, gratitude, a hard conversation, whatever fits) and, if you want, add a sentence of context. Then you tap submit.
Matching: usually under 60 seconds
Your request goes into a live queue that available PrayAllies around the world are watching. The first PrayAlly to accept becomes yours for the session. You'll see a friendly waiting screen. If everyone happens to be busy, you'll get a clear option to wait or come back.
Minute 1: hello
You land in a small private voice room together. Your PrayAlly greets you, says their name, and asks how you'd like to be prayed for. If you're nervous, that's totally normal. You can share one sentence and that's plenty.

Request prayerMinutes 2–4: the prayer itself
This is the heart of it. Your PrayAlly will pray with you in the name of Jesus, led by Scripture and the Holy Spirit. It might sound like structured intercession; it might sound like a quiet, honest conversation. You are welcome to close your eyes, to nod along, to add your own words, or to simply receive. There's no "right" way to do it.
Minute 5: closing
As the timer approaches zero, your PrayAlly will bring the prayer to a gentle close — often with a blessing or a short breath together. The room ends automatically. There's no upsell, no email capture, no follow-up. Just a quick screen thanking you and asking if you'd like to leave an anonymous rating.
After
Most people report feeling lighter, a bit more grounded, sometimes surprised at how much can happen in five minutes with a stranger. You can request another session any time. Nothing about you is stored beyond what's needed to make the platform work, and the content of the session is confidential.
That's the whole thing. No hidden steps. Just five minutes with someone who cares.
